Minor in Interdisciplinary Humanities

Students who choose to study the Humanities acquire the essential skills to succeed at work and in life. As a Humanities minor, the student will sharpen critical thinking skills, communicate more effectively, and make connections across a wide variety of knowledge, allowing her or him to consider the complexity of the human experience through the lens of the liberal arts.

The evidence is clear: a minor in Humanities prepares students for a wide array of rich opportunities.

The focus is on ethical reasoning, global awareness, and civic understanding. Two Humanities courses are required (6 hours), and the remaining twelve hours can be chosen from the following courses in English, Latin American Studies, Modern Languages, and Philosophy.

The two Humanities courses count toward Ethos credit. Others that have been approved for Ethos credit are so indicated (*).
